Blood test - Omega-3

Omega-3 fatty acids are an important part of our diet and have many health benefits for our body. These fatty acids are essential, which means that the body cannot produce them itself and we must obtain them through our diet.

Measuring the omega-3 blood values can provide insight into the extent to which someone receives these fatty acids through the diet. Thus, it is a useful test to determine the nutritional status of an individual.

One of the main health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids is the reduction of inflammation in the body. This can help prevent various health problems, including heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and even certain cancers.

In addition, omega-3 fatty acids also have a beneficial effect on cholesterol levels and blood pressure, which contributes to the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Also, taking omega-3 supplements can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
